Simple Cemetery Burial
An alternative to cremation is a simple burial, which does not require embalming, as performed in early America. This fee includes transportation of remains to Monarch within a 15-mile radius (additional charges will occur beyond the 15-mile radius and/or from a residence), care and holding of remains, no service and transportation to a local cemetery at a time of our discretion, filing necessary permits, and *professional services. (Please note: simple cemetery burial requires that at no time shall the casket be opened after leaving Monarch Society's premises. Casket not included.

Traditional Funeral Service and Burial
Funeral Service may take place at Monarch Society, a church, or other location in the local area. This fee includes transportation of remains to Monarch within a 15-mile radius (additional charges will occur beyond the 15-mile radius and/or from a residence), transportation to local service location, then to local cemetery, filing necessary permits, *professional services, and necessary preparation of remains including embalming, dressing, and cosmetology. If a viewing is requested, there will be additional charges for preparation/special care of the cremains. Casket not included.

Professional Services of Funeral Counselor and Staff
This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. Professional services includes, but is not limited to, office for consultation with the family, funeral director for arrangement meeting, preparing and securing legal documents for physicians, county coroners, and the health departments, notification of death to the Social Security Administration, maintaining compliance with government agencies, twenty-four hour on call responsive service, staff assistance and coordination with those providing other portions of the service such as: obituaries, cemetery, church, clergy, musicians, transportation, escorts, florists, telephone calls, etc. Additionally, the cost includes a proportionate share of state registration fees, taxes, licenses, certifications, and overhead charges needed for maintaining the operation of a full-service mortuary/crematory, which includes custodial care and maintenance, utilities, salaries, benefits, insurance, utility vehicles, grounds keeping, and general maintenance. (This fee applies to the state of Colorado only.
